Counselling Services to heal from Religious and Church Trauma

Discovering Freedom and Renewed Purpose After Religious and Church Trauma

Leaving the Church can be daunting, especially when it has been a significant part of your life. I specialise in supporting those who have experienced Religious and Church trauma, including individuals from the Pentecostal church.

As a compassionate counsellor with lived experience, I provide a safe space for Gentle Souls on a journey of self-discovery after leaving their Church and questioning their beliefs.

I get what it’s like to lose everything you know. Your church “family” and community. It can be a lonely experience. And unless you’ve been in the Church, it can be difficult for people to understand the “church culture”. That’s why it’s important that you find a counsellor who completely gets it.

Together, we'll navigate the challenges, understand the impact of religious trauma, and develop coping strategies. I aim to empower individuals to rebuild their lives, establish a new foundation based on their own beliefs and values, and find healing.

If you're seeking guidance in overcoming Religious and Church trauma, I'm here to help. Reach out to schedule a session or learn more about my support.

Benefits of Counselling for Religious and Church Trauma

Have a safe space to process and grieve your experience of being in the Church, and leaving the Church.

- Walk through the steps of deconstructing your faith and rediscovering what spirituality means for you.

- Know that you are heard, understood and safe to express yourself in the way that you need to.

- Feel all the feelings that you were never able to express. Anger, guilt, shame. They are all accepted and valid here.

- Learn healthy boundaries and better coping strategies.
